Hammond PJ242410RTW 24x24x10 Type 4X Fiberglass Box, Raised Window Lid

The PJ242410RTW combines a square 24 x 24 x 10.13 in (610 x 610 x 257 mm) Type 4X fiberglass polyester enclosure with a raised lid carrying a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It lets operators and technicians check instruments, indicators or control equipment inside while the door stays closed and sealed.

The PJ Series is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and is intended for locations that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive. This part carries UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings and IEC 60529 IP66.

Construction is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester for both box and cover, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors. The drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.56 mm) wall. Four 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches with padlock provision close the door against a formed-in-place polyurethane gasket, and the door is carried on stainless steel hinges. Six 3/8"-16 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws are provided for the optional 18P2121 inner panel (21.00 x 21.00 in / 533 x 533 mm); the drawing lists a 0.125 in fiberglass back panel.

Four 316 stainless steel feet (larger foot size) mount to rear 3/8"-16 brass inserts, with 0.56 in (14.30 mm) mounting holes. The enclosure is rated for 130°C to -40°C, has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), ships at 28 lbs (12.70 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The solid-lid equivalent is PJ242410RT.
