The PJ24248RTW is the window-cover version of the square 24.00 x 24.00 x 8.13 in (610 x 610 x 207 mm) PJ raised-lid enclosure. With a bonded polycarbonate viewing window in the raised cover, it lets a large control housing or instrument enclosure be monitored visually while it stays sealed against hose-down, heavy moisture, heat and corrosive atmospheres.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the body is easily punched, cut or drilled. According to the drawing, the cover is secured by four 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches, carried on two stainless steel hinges and sealed with a FIP polyurethane gasket; the wall is 0.14 in (3.56 mm). The latches include a padlocking provision.

The PJ24248RTW is listed to UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. Operating temperatures run from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), impact index is 6.78J (5 ft/lb) and shipping weight is 26 lbs (11.79 kg). Mounting hardware is included; PJ24248RT has the solid lid.
