Hammond PJ12124L 12 x 12 x 4 in Snap Latch Polyester Junction Box

The PJ12124L is a shallow, square Type 4X junction box in fiberglass reinforced polyester. The series ordering table lists it at 12.13 in high by 12.13 in wide by 4.13 in deep (308 x 308 x 105 mm); the part page gives a nominal size of 12.32 x 12.32 x 4 in (313 x 313 x 102 mm). It is intended for junction and terminal wiring enclosures, instrument housings and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic controls in wet, washdown, hot or highly corrosive locations.

The box and matching cover are compression molded in gray fiberglass reinforced polyester with enhanced UV inhibitors, and can be easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing calls out a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall. A continuous 316 stainless steel hinge carries the door, which closes with two lockable 316 stainless steel draw-type snap latches with a padlocking provision. A captive, oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket seals the opening.

For equipment, four #10-32 brass inserts receive the optional 14R1111 inner panel, 10.75 x 10.88 in (273 x 276 mm), available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass, with mounting hardware included. Four 316 stainless steel feet mount to rear brass inserts for wall installation.
