Hammond PJ12106L 12 x 10 x 6 in Snap Latch Fiberglass Junction Box

The PJ12106L is a Type 4X wallmount junction box molded from fiberglass reinforced polyester, sized at 12.13 in high, 10.26 in wide and 6.13 in deep (308 x 261 x 156 mm). It is built for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and suits sites where equipment may be hosed down, is very wet, runs hot or sits in highly corrosive surroundings.

Both box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled for conduit and device openings. The drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.56 mm) wall thickness. The door rides on a continuous 316 stainless steel hinge and closes with two lockable 316 stainless steel draw-type snap latches that include a provision for padlocking, while a captive, oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket provides a positive seal.

Inside, four #10-32 threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R1109 inner panel (10.75 x 8.88 in), offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass; mounting hardware is included. For wall installation, four 316 stainless steel feet attach to brass inserts on the rear of the enclosure with 316 stainless steel screws.

The PJ12106L is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL listed to the same types per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for operating temperatures from 130°C down to -40°C, has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships at 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
