Hammond PJ12126L 12 x 12 x 6 in Snap Latch Polyester Junction Box

The PJ12126L gives a square 12.13 x 12.13 in footprint with 6.13 in of depth (308 x 308 x 156 mm, per the series ordering table; the part page lists a nominal 12.32 x 12.32 x 6 in, or 313 x 313 x 152 mm). It is a Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester junction box aimed at electrical junction and terminal wiring, instrument enclosures, and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings in wet, washdown, high-temperature or highly corrosive areas.

Its box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor service; the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall. The door hangs on a continuous 316 stainless steel hinge and is drawn closed by two lockable 316 stainless steel snap latches with a padlocking provision. A captive, oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket seals the cover.

Four #10-32 threaded brass inserts support the optional 14R1111 inner panel, sized 10.75 x 10.88 in (273 x 276 mm) and offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass; mounting hardware is included. On the back, brass inserts take four 316 stainless steel feet for wall mounting.

The PJ12126L carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94 listings and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, meets RoHS and REACH, and ships at 8 lbs (3.63 kg).
