Hammond HYPB4VSS Vertical 4-Hole 30mm Hygienic Pushbutton Enclosure

The HYPB4VSS is the vertical four-hole model in the HYPB Series of hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. Four 30mm pushbuttons or indicators stack in a single column within a narrow 4.88 in wide, 11.94 in tall body, a layout that fits mounting surfaces where width is limited in hose-down environments. The 22mm-hole equivalent is the HYMPB4VSS.

It is formed from 304 stainless steel with all four sides sloped 3° so water does not rest on top in any orientation. Continuously welded seams are ground smooth, and cover and enclosure have a natural #4 dairy finish. The silicone gasket mounts around the entire door edge for efficient cleaning and can be replaced with the HYG125. The hex head screw cover can be removed completely for modifications, and bonding and grounding studs are fitted.

The HYPB4VSS measures 11.94 in (303 mm) high by 4.88 in (124 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 12 x 5 x 4 in. The drawing gives an 11.12 x 4.19 in door, a 10.00 x 2.10 in opening, 9.37 x 2.31 in of clear space available on the door and 3.43 in of usable depth. The notched 30mm holes measure 1.21 in on the drawing.

No wall mounting holes are pre-drilled, so it can be welded in place or mounted on stand-offs. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. The HYPB4VSS ships in a box at 12 lb (5.44 kg).
