The HYPB1SSR is the compact, square single-hole enclosure in the HYPB Series of hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. It holds one 30mm pushbutton or indicator in a 4.98 in (126 mm) square body, useful where a single operator device must be mounted on washdown equipment with little free space. Its 22mm-hole counterpart is the HYMPB1SSR.
The enclosure is formed 304 stainless steel with all four sides sloped 3° so water runs off regardless of orientation. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, and the finish is natural stainless steel with a smooth #4 dairy finish. A silicone gasket around the entire door edge can be removed for cleaning and is replaceable with the HYG55. The hex head screw cover can be completely removed for modifications, and bonding and grounding studs are included.
The HYPB1SSR measures 4.98 in (126 mm) high by 4.98 in (126 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 5 x 5 x 4 in. The drawing shows a 4.12 x 4.12 in door, 2.37 in of clear space available on the door and 3.43 in of usable depth, with a 1.21 in notched hole for the 30mm device.
Mounting is flexible because no wall holes are pre-drilled: the enclosure can be welded in place or stood off from the surface. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. Shipping weight is 6 lb (2.72 kg).
