Hammond HYPB2SS 2-Hole 30mm Hygienic Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The HYPB2SS is a two-hole hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosure for 30mm pushbuttons and indicators. Part of the HYPB Series, it is designed to protect operator devices in harsh, hygienic environments and suits equipment builders and maintenance electricians working in hose-down areas. The 22mm-hole version is the HYMPB2SS.

Formed 304 stainless steel is sloped 3° on all four sides so water cannot sit on top in any orientation. The continuously welded seams are ground smooth, and cover and enclosure have a natural stainless #4 dairy finish. A silicone gasket runs around the entire door edge and can be removed for cleaning or replaced with the HYG85. The hex head screw cover can be completely removed for modifications, and a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure are provided.

The HYPB2SS is 7.94 in (202 mm) high by 4.88 in (124 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 8 x 5 x 4 in. According to the drawing, the door is 7.12 x 4.19 in, the opening 6.00 x 3.10 in, the clear space on the door 5.37 x 2.31 in and the usable depth 3.43 in. The notched 30mm holes measure 1.21 in on the drawing.

No wall mounting holes are pre-drilled, which leaves weld-in-place or stand-off mounting open. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. It ships in a box at 8 lb (3.63 kg).
