The HYPB3SS is a three-hole hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosure in the HYPB Series, holding three 30mm pushbuttons or indicators in a single column. It is built to protect operator devices in harsh, hygienic environments where equipment is washed down, and pairs with the HYMPB3SS for applications using 22mm devices.
The body is formed 304 stainless steel sloped 3° on all four sides, with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural #4 dairy finish on cover and enclosure. The door-edge silicone gasket allows efficient cleaning and can be removed and re-installed; the listed replacement is HYG105. The hex head screw cover lifts off completely for modifications, and bonding and grounding studs are provided.
The HYPB3SS measures 9.94 in (252 mm) high by 4.88 in (124 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 10 x 5 x 4 in. Its drawing shows a 9.12 x 4.19 in door, an 8.00 x 3.10 in opening, 7.37 x 2.31 in of clear space available on the door and 3.43 in of usable depth. The notched 30mm holes measure 1.21 in on the drawing.
The enclosure has no pre-drilled wall mounting holes, so it can be welded in place or mounted with stand-offs. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. It ships boxed at 10 lb (4.54 kg).
