The HYPB4SS is the wide-format four-hole enclosure in the HYPB Series of hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures, taking four 30mm pushbuttons or indicators in a 9.94 in by 6.88 in body. It is aimed at operator stations on equipment in hose-down environments. The 22mm-hole equivalent is the HYMPB4SS, and a narrow vertical four-hole option is the HYPB4VSS.
The enclosure is formed 304 stainless steel sloped 3° on all four sides to shed water, with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural #4 dairy finish. A silicone gasket mounts around the entire door edge for efficient cleaning and is replaceable with the HYG107. The hex head screw cover can be completely removed for modifications, and there is a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure.
Dimensions are 9.94 in (252 mm) high by 6.88 in (175 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 10 x 7 x 4 in. The drawing shows a 9.12 x 6.19 in door, an 8.00 x 5.10 in opening, 7.37 x 4.31 in of clear space available on the door and 3.43 in of usable depth, with 1.21 in notched holes for the 30mm devices.
Without pre-drilled wall mounting holes, the HYPB4SS can be welded in place or mounted on stand-offs. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. Shipping weight is 14 lb (6.35 kg), packed in a box.
