Hammond HYPB6SS 6-Hole 30mm Hygienic Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The HYPB6SS is the largest 30mm-hole enclosure in the HYPB Series of hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures, with six holes in an 11.94 in by 8.88 in body. It is designed to enclose larger groups of pushbuttons and indicators on equipment in harsh, hygienic, hose-down environments. The HYMPB6SS is the six-hole version for 22mm devices.

Formed 304 stainless steel is sloped 3° on all four sides, the seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, and the cover and enclosure carry a natural #4 dairy finish. A silicone gasket mounts around the entire door edge and can be removed for cleaning; the replacement part is HYG129. The hex head screw cover can be completely removed for modifications, and bonding and grounding studs are provided on the door and body.

The enclosure measures 11.94 in (303 mm) high by 8.88 in (226 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 12 x 9 x 4 in. On its drawing the door measures 11.09 x 8.09 in, the opening 10.00 x 6.00 in, and the clear space available on the door 9.37 x 6.37 in, with 3.43 in of usable depth and 1.21 in notched holes.

There are no pre-drilled wall mounting holes, allowing weld-in-place or stand-off mounting. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. The HYPB6SS has a shipping weight of 17 lb (7.71 kg) and is packed in a box.
