The HYMPB4VSS is the vertical four-hole version of the HYPB Series hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosure. Its tall, narrow 11.94 in by 4.88 in body stacks four 22mm pushbuttons or indicators in a single column, which suits narrow mounting surfaces in hose-down areas. The 30mm-hole equivalent is the HYPB4VSS.
The body is formed 304 stainless steel with all four sides sloped 3° to keep water from resting on top, continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural #4 dairy finish. A silicone gasket around the entire door edge can be removed for cleaning or replaced with the HYG125. The hex head screw cover comes off completely for modifications, and a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure are included.
The HYMPB4VSS measures 11.94 in (303 mm) high by 4.88 in (124 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 12 x 5 x 4 in. The drawing gives an 11.12 x 4.19 in door, a 10.00 x 2.10 in opening, 9.37 x 2.31 in of clear space available on the door and 3.43 in of usable depth, with 0.89 in notched pushbutton holes.
There are no pre-drilled wall mounting holes, so it can be welded in place or mounted on stand-offs. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. The HYMPB4VSS ships boxed at 12 lb (5.44 kg).
