Hammond 1556HABK 200x200x70mm Black ABS IoT Enclosure

The 1556HABK is the taller, 70 mm version of the largest 1556 footprint, molded in black flame retardant ABS. It is made for engineers and integrators housing printed circuit boards, IoT equipment and other small electronics indoors, where extra internal height matters for stacked boards, connectors or modules.

Outside it measures 7.87 x 7.87 in (200 x 200 mm) with a total height of 2.76 in (70 mm). The drawing gives inside dimensions of 193.21 mm [7.61 in] in length and width and 64.00 mm [2.52 in] in height, and the manufacturer lists a maximum P.C. board size of 180 x 180 mm. Boards mount to multiple locations in the lid and base using #6 self-tapping screws, or on the 1556HPL aluminum inner panel, sold separately.

The black ABS has a light satin texture with rounded corners and face. Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, the design is intended to meet IP54, and the material is rated UL94 V-0. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and is intended for indoor use only.

Use it on a bench or desk with the four included rubber feet, or wall mount it as a heavy duty flange mount or a flush keyhole mount with the 1556FOOTBK-4 foot kit. For poles, PMB110127KIT3 (7" max.) and PMB110127KIT4 (15" max.) kits are listed for the 1556HA profile. The 1556HABK ships shrink wrapped with box, lid, 4 cover screws and 4 rubber feet; recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m).
