Hammond 1556GGY 200x160x45mm Light Gray ABS IoT Enclosure

The 1556GGY is a light gray flame retardant ABS enclosure in the 1556G size, measuring 200 x 160 x 45 mm (7.87 x 6.30 x 1.77 in). This low-profile rectangular body accepts a longer circuit board than the square F size while keeping a 45 mm total height, suiting printed circuit boards, IoT equipment and other small electronics.

The box and lid are molded from flame retardant ABS plastic with a light satin texture, carrying a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Rounded corners and face give a modern look, while lap joint construction protects against dust and splashing water; the enclosure is designed to meet IP54 and is for indoor use only.

Inside, the 1556GGY offers 193.21 mm (7.61 in) of length, 153.21 mm (6.03 in) of width and 39.00 mm (1.54 in) of height per the drawing. The maximum PC board size is 185 x 142 mm, and the 1556GPL aluminum inner panel (sold separately) is available when a removable mounting plate is preferred.

The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 cover screws and 4 rubber feet, so it is ready for tabletop use out of the box. For walls, the 1556FOOTGY-4 light gray mounting foot kit (sold separately) supports a heavy duty wall flange mount or a flush keyhole-style mount. Recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m) and PCB screw torque is 42-56 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).

It is REACH and RoHS compliant, ships in shrink wrap, and can be factory modified with milling, drilling or printing. Some chemicals can damage or weaken ABS, so check compatibility before using solvents, thread lockers or cutting fluids.
