Hammond 1556GWH 200x160x45mm White ABS Desktop/Wall Enclosure

The 1556GWH is a white, flame retardant ABS enclosure from the 1556 Modern General Purpose series, built to house printed circuit boards, IoT equipment and other small electronics. It suits OEM engineers and integrators who need a clean, modern-looking indoor box that can sit on a desk or hang on a wall.

The enclosure measures 7.87 in (200 mm) long by 6.30 in (160 mm) wide with a total height of 1.77 in (45 mm). Inside, the drawing shows 193.21 mm [7.61 in] of length, 153.21 mm [6.03 in] of width and 39.00 mm [1.54 in] of height, and the part accepts a P.C. board up to 185 mm long and 142 mm wide. Multiple mounting locations inside both the lid and the base accept #6 self-tapping screws, or you can fit the matching 1556GPL aluminum inner panel, sold separately.

The ABS is molded with a light satin texture and rounded corners and face. Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. The material carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. It is intended for indoor use only.

Each 1556GWH ships shrink wrapped with the box, lid, 4 cover screws and 4 rubber feet. The lid fastens with high strength #6 x 1/2" self-tapping Plastite screws; recommended torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m) for cover screws and 42-56 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m) for PCB screws.
