Hammond 1556GPL 185x142mm Aluminum Mounting Plate for 1556G

The 1556GPL is the largest inner panel in this group: a 185 x 142 x 2 mm (7.29 x 5.6 x 0.08 in) aluminum plate for the 200 x 160 mm 1556G and 1556GA enclosures. It suits OEM and IoT builds where boards and components are laid out on a removable plate rather than fastened directly into the plastic housing.

According to the series ordering table, the 1556GPL fits both the 45 mm tall 1556GBK, 1556GGY, 1556GWH and the 70 mm tall 1556GABK, 1556GAGY, 1556GAWH enclosures, so one panel covers either height and every color in the 1556G footprint.

The drawing gives overall dimensions of 185.00 mm [7.28 in] x 142.00 mm [5.59 in] with a thickness of 2.05 mm [0.08 in], a 2.00 x 45.0 degree chamfer and R8.00 mm [R0.31 in] corners. The part page lists the colour as natural aluminum and a shipping weight of 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg); the panel ships in shrink wrap.

The 1556 Series specification sheet notes that multiple mounting locations inside the lid and base of the enclosure allow easy PC board mounting or use with the aluminum panels, which are sold separately as accessories.
