Hammond 1555NGY 120x120x60mm Gray Abs IP66 Enclosure

The 1555NGY is a general purpose ABS enclosure with a 120 mm x 120 mm x 60 mm nominal size (the part page lists 4.7 in x 4.7 in x 2.4 in, or 119 mm x 119 mm x 61 mm). It is intended for indoor projects where a sealed, square box is needed for a circuit board or DIN rail components.

The light gray RAL 7035 ABS is rated UL94-HB. ABS versions are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, and carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The styled lid closes on a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket, supplied loose inside the enclosure, to keep out oil, dust and water.

Interior space per the drawing is 112.91 mm long, 106.91 mm wide and 52.00 mm high, and P.C. boards up to 106.68 mm x 107.7 mm are listed. Mounting options include molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm thick boards. The 1554NPL galvanized steel inner panel, sold separately, fits in the box or the lid, and the lid face has a smooth recess for a membrane keypad or label.

Four M4 stainless steel lid screws are included; they are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts, with a recommended torque of 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm holes outside the gasket channel handle wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. Recommended operating temperature for 1555NGY is -20°C to +60°C; the polycarbonate, UL listed version is 1555N2GY.
