Hammond 1555LAGY 105x105x90mm Gray ABS Watertight Enclosure

The 1555LAGY is a square, deep general purpose ABS enclosure measuring 4.13 in x 4.13 in x 3.54 in (105 mm x 105 mm x 90 mm). It is aimed at OEM engineers and panel builders who need a compact, watertight housing for printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components in an indoor setting.

The body and styled lid are molded from light gray (RAL 7035) ABS with a UL94-HB flammability rating. A two-piece tongue and groove lid joint with a one-piece, replaceable silicone gasket protects against access of oil, dust and water, and the ABS version has been tested to and meets IP66. The gasket is supplied loose inside the enclosure rather than pre-installed. Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts and are self-captivating; the recommended cover screw torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).

Inside, the drawing gives 96.32 mm length, 93.19 mm width and 81.20 mm height, the tallest interior of the two 105 mm square sizes. Boards up to 92.5 mm x 101 mm fit, and the interior offers molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards. The lid also has molded standoffs, and its smooth recessed surface suits a membrane keypad or label.

Four 4.30 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel, and the same holes accept the 1554FT foot kit. Matching accessories include the 1554LPL steel inner panel, 1554LGASKET replacement gasket and 1554LCL clear lid. The ABS version is not UL listed and is intended for indoor use at -20°C to +60°C; for outdoor or UL 508A work, the polycarbonate equivalent is 1555LA2GY.
