Hammond 1555N2GY 120x120x60mm Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1555N2GY is a UL listed polycarbonate enclosure with a 120 mm x 120 mm x 60 mm nominal footprint (listed as 4.7 in x 4.7 in x 2.4 in, or 119 mm x 119 mm x 61 mm, on the part page). It is built for electricians, OEMs and control panel builders housing PC boards or DIN rail components indoors or outdoors.

The light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate is UV stabilized for outdoor use and rated UL94-5VA. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and carries IP68 plus NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 ratings, with IK08 impact resistance and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. A two-piece tongue and groove lid with a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket seals out oil, dust and water; the gasket ships loose.

The drawing shows an inside length of 112.91 mm, inside width of 106.91 mm and inside height of 52.00 mm, with a maximum P.C. board size of 106.68 mm x 107.7 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and vertical guides for 1.5 mm boards are provided, and the 1554NPL steel inner panel (ordered separately) fits in either the box or the lid. The styled lid gives a smooth recess for a membrane keypad or label.

Four M4 stainless steel lid screws are included, thread into corrosion resistant inserts and are self-captivating; tighten to 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel serve wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. The ABS equivalent is 1555NGY.
