Hammond 1555NL2GY 120x120x45mm Low-Profile Polycarbonate Enclosure

The 1555NL2GY is the low-profile polycarbonate member of the 120 mm square family, with a 120 mm x 120 mm x 45 mm nominal size (4.7 in x 4.7 in x 1.77 in, or 119 mm x 119 mm x 45 mm, on the part page). It is suited to slim sensor, controller or interface builds that need a sealed, outdoor-capable housing.

It is molded in light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate rated UL94-5VA and UV stabilized for outdoor use. Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and carry an IK08 impact rating, with a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. The part lists IP68 and a NEMA rating of "4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 27"; the drawing marks it Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P. A tongue and groove lid with a replaceable silicone gasket, supplied loose, seals against oil, dust and water.

Inside, the drawing shows 112.99 mm length, 110.83 mm width and 36.95 mm height. Listed maximum P.C. board size is 107.7 mm x 106.6 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and 1.5 mm card guides are provided, and the 1554NPL steel inner panel is available separately. The styled lid offers a recessed face for a membrane keypad or label and molded standoffs underneath.

Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.30 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel support wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. The ABS counterpart is 1555NLGY.
