Hammond 1555NLGY 120x120x45mm Low-Profile ABS Enclosure

The 1555NLGY is a low-profile general purpose ABS enclosure with a 120 mm x 120 mm x 45 mm nominal size; the part page lists 4.7 in x 4.7 in x 1.77 in (119 mm x 119 mm x 45 mm). It is a fit for slim indoor electronics such as interface boards or small DIN rail assemblies.

The box and styled lid are light gray RAL 7035 ABS with a UL94-HB flammability rating. ABS versions are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, and carry an IK07 impact rating. A two-piece tongue and groove joint and one-piece replaceable silicone gasket, supplied loose inside the enclosure, protect against access of oil, dust and water.

The drawing shows interior dimensions of 112.99 mm long, 110.83 mm wide and 36.95 mm high, and the part lists a maximum P.C. board of 107.7 mm x 106.6 mm. The interior has molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards; the lid has its own molded standoffs and a smooth recess for a membrane keypad or label. The 1554NPL steel inner panel is sold separately.

1555NLGY ships with four self-captivating M4 stainless steel lid screws that thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.30 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit. Use indoors at -20°C to +60°C, or choose 1555NL2GY for the UL listed polycarbonate version.
