Hammond 1555P2GY 120x120x80mm Polycarbonate IP68 Enclosure

The 1555P2GY is the tallest of the 120 mm square polycarbonate enclosures in this group, with a 120 mm x 120 mm x 80 mm nominal size (the part page lists 4.7 in x 4.7 in x 3.15 in, or 119 mm x 119 mm x 80 mm, and the catalog short description reads 120X120X90MM). It is built for control panel builders, electricians and OEMs who need extra depth for PC boards, DIN rail devices or wiring in indoor or outdoor locations.

Molded in UV stabilized light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate rated UL94-5VA, the enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. It carries IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 ratings, an IK08 impact rating and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. The styled lid seals on a tongue and groove joint with a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket, supplied loose, protecting against oil, dust and water.

The drawing lists an interior of 112.39 mm long, 108.39 mm wide and 72.00 mm high, with a maximum P.C. board size of 106.68 mm x 107.7 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards cover most mounting needs, and the 1554NPL galvanized steel inner panel (ordered separately) fits in the box or the lid.

Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm wall-mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The general purpose ABS equivalent of 1555P2GY is 1555PGY.
