The 1555Q2GY is a 140 mm square polycarbonate enclosure measuring 5.51 in x 5.51 in x 2.36 in (140 mm x 140 mm x 60 mm). It suits electricians, integrators and OEM engineers who need a wider, sealed housing for PC boards, DIN rail components or wiring, indoors or outdoors.
The enclosure is molded in light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate that is UV stabilized for outdoor use and rated UL94-5VA. Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324; this part lists IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, with an IK08 impact rating and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. The gray lid seals on a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a one-piece replaceable silicone gasket that ships loose inside.
The drawing shows an interior of 132.36 mm long, 128.69 mm wide and 51.20 mm high, and the maximum listed P.C. board size is 127 mm x 127.5 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical 1.5 mm card guides are built in, with further #6 standoffs molded inside the lid. The 1554QPL galvanized steel inner panel is available separately.
Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.30 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel for wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. The ABS version of 1555Q2GY is 1555QGY.
