Hammond 1555PGY 120x120x80mm Gray ABS Watertight Enclosure

The 1555PGY is the deepest 120 mm square general purpose ABS enclosure here, with a nominal size of 120 mm x 120 mm x 80 mm (4.7 in x 4.7 in x 3.15 in, or 119 mm x 119 mm x 80 mm, on the part page; the catalog short description reads 120X120X90MM). It gives indoor projects extra headroom for taller components, circuit boards or DIN rail devices.

The box and styled lid are light gray RAL 7035 ABS rated UL94-HB. ABS versions are not UL listed but are tested to and meet IP66, with an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. A two-piece tongue and groove joint and a replaceable one-piece high temperature silicone gasket, supplied loose, protect against access of oil, dust and water.

Interior dimensions per the drawing are 112.39 mm long, 108.39 mm wide and 72.00 mm high. Listed maximum P.C. board size is 106.68 mm x 107.7 mm. Inside you will find molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards; the 1554NPL steel inner panel (sold separately) fits in the box or the lid. The styled lid's recessed face takes a membrane keypad or label.

1555PGY includes four self-captivating M4 stainless steel lid screws threading into corrosion resistant inserts, torqued to 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm holes outside the gasket channel allow wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. Recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C; for outdoor or UL listed use, see polycarbonate 1555P2GY.
