Hammond 1555J2F42GY 160x90x62 mm Deep Polycarbonate Flanged Enclosure

The 1555J2F42GY is the taller polycarbonate member of the 1555JF family, giving 62 mm of height on the same 160 mm footprint as its shallow sibling. It suits panel builders and OEM designers who need extra depth for taller components, terminal blocks or DIN rail devices in a wall-mounted, watertight housing.

Molded from UV stabilized polycarbonate with a UL94 5VA flame rating, the enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Impact resistance is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021.

Dimensions for this part are 6.3 x 3.6 x 2.44 in (160 x 91 x 62 mm) per the part page, and 160 x 90 x 62 mm in the series table, not including flanges. The drawing shows a 47.00 mm base, 15.50 mm lid, 42.50 mm inner box depth and 12.00 mm inner lid depth, with a 200.79 mm overall length across the flanges. Maximum PC board size is 76 x 148 mm, and shipping weight is 0.57 lbs (0.26 kg).

The flanged lid seals on a loose-supplied, one-piece silicone gasket in a tongue and groove joint, and closes with four M4 stainless steel screws into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 2.5 lbf-in torque. Inside the 1555J2F42GY you will find DIN rail tabs in the lid, standoffs for 1555TS100 self-tapping screws, and provision for the 1555JFPL steel inner panel.
