The 1555JF17GY is the general purpose ABS version of the shallow 1555JF enclosure, a light grey (RAL7035) watertight box with a flanged base for wall mounting. It is a practical choice for indoor control, security and electronics projects that need an IP66 seal without a UL listing.
The ABS material carries a UL94 HB flammability rating and an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. Although not UL listed, ABS versions have been tested to and meet IP66. The recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C, and the series specifies ABS versions for indoor use.
Size on the part page is 6.3 x 3.6 x 1.47 in (160 x 91 x 37 mm); the series table lists 160 x 90 x 38 mm without flanges, and the drawing shows 200.79 mm overall across the flanges with 4X Ø5.00 mm holes. Inside there is a 17.70 mm deep box and 12.00 mm deep lid, taking PC boards up to 76 x 148 mm. Shipping weight is 0.46 lbs (0.21 kg).
A two-piece tongue and groove lid seals on a one-piece silicone gasket, supplied loose, and four included M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts. For internal mounting the 1555JF17GY offers standoffs for #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100), DIN rail tabs in the lid and the optional 1555JFPL steel panel. Need outdoor or UL listed use?
