The 1554PB2D is the deeper two-hole member of the 1554 PB Series, taking two 30.5 mm pushbuttons in a lid mounted on the 1554K enclosure. With 3.56 in (90 mm) of depth including the lid, it gives more space for contact blocks, terminals or a small circuit board than the 2.38 in deep 1554PB2, while keeping the same 6.30 x 3.54 in footprint.
The enclosure is molded from polycarbonate rated UL94 5VA at 3 mm, suitable for outdoor use and finished light gray RAL 7035. Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into integral stainless steel bushings to hold the lid against a replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket. Lid screws and mounting holes are located outside the gasket seal, and the recommended cover screw torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).
Inside, the base provides DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and molded card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. Four Ø4.00 mm holes mount the box. The optional 1554JPL galvanized steel inner panel measures 5.80 x 3.00 in, and 1554FT mounting feet are available. Shipping weight is 0.53 lbs (0.24 kg).
Ratings are IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The 1554PB2D is cULus listed under File E65324, the polycarbonate version is UL 508A approved, and it is RoHS and REACH compliant. The 22 mm hole version is 1554MPB2D.
