The 1554PB4 provides four 30.5 mm pushbutton positions in a single sealed polycarbonate enclosure, giving room for combinations such as start, stop, jog and reset or a mix of pushbuttons, selectors and pilot lights. It is built on the 1554U body within the Type 4, 4X 1554 PB Series and is suited to control panel builders, plant electricians and OEM machine designers.
The housing is UL94 5VA polycarbonate (at 3 mm) suitable for outdoor use, colored light gray RAL 7035. The lid seals on a replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket and is secured by four self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws running into integral stainless steel bushings, with both the lid screws and mounting holes outside the gasket seal. For this part the drawing specifies a recommended cover screw torque of 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m) and SC583-50 M4-0.7 x 25mm stainless steel replacement cover screws.
Dimensions are 7.87 in (200 mm) high by 4.72 in (120 mm) wide by 3.56 in (90 mm) deep with the lid; shipping weight is 0.95 lbs (0.43 kg). Inside are DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. The box mounts through four Ø4.00 mm holes, and the optional 1554UPL galvanized steel inner panel (7.60 x 4.20 in) and 1554FT feet are available.
1554PB4 is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, is cULus listed under File E65324 with the polycarbonate version UL 508A approved, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The 22 mm hole version is 1554MPB4.
