The 1554PB3 houses three 30.5 mm pushbuttons in one sealed polycarbonate enclosure, a common layout for forward/reverse/stop or start/stop/jog control. Built on the 1554U body, it is part of the Type 4, 4X 1554 PB Series and is aimed at panel shops, maintenance electricians and machine builders.
The polycarbonate has a UL94 5VA flammability rating at 3 mm, is suitable for outdoor use and comes in light gray RAL 7035. A replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket seals the lid. Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws hold the lid in integral stainless steel bushings, tightened to a recommended 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m); screws and mounting holes stay outside the gasket seal.
The enclosure is 7.87 in (200 mm) high, 4.72 in (120 mm) wide and 3.56 in (90 mm) deep with the lid, and weighs 0.73 lbs (0.33 kg) for shipping. The base includes DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. Four Ø4.00 mm holes mount the box. The optional 1554UPL galvanized steel inner panel (7.60 x 4.20 in) and 1554FT feet are available separately.
1554PB3 is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, cULus listed under File E65324, UL 508A approved in polycarbonate, and RoHS and REACH compliant. The 22 mm hole version is 1554MPB3.
