The 1554PB6 is a six-hole pushbutton enclosure for 30.5 mm operators, sized for a full local control station with several pushbuttons, selector switches and indicators in one lid. It uses the 1554V body from the Type 4, 4X polycarbonate 1554 PB Series and is intended for integrators, electricians and OEMs building sealed operator stations.
The enclosure is molded from UL94 5VA polycarbonate (at 3 mm) that is suitable for outdoor use, in light gray RAL 7035. Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into integral stainless steel bushings to close the lid on a replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket; the recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). Lid screws and mounting holes are outside the gasket seal.
It measures 9.45 in (240 mm) high, 6.30 in (160 mm) wide and 3.54 in (90 mm) deep with the lid, and weighs 1.3 lbs (0.59 kg) for shipping. The base carries DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. Four Ø4.00 mm holes mount the box; the optional 1554VPL galvanized steel inner panel (9.10 x 5.70 in) and 1554FT feet are sold separately.
The 1554PB6 is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 12 and 13. Note that six-pushbutton enclosures in this series do not meet Type 6/6P. It is cULus listed under File E65324, the polycarbonate version is UL 508A approved, and it is RoHS and REACH compliant. The 22 mm version is 1554MPB6.
