Hammond 1554PB6B Deep 6-Hole 30.5mm Polycarbonate Pushbutton Box

The 1554PB6B is the deep six-hole version of the 1554 PB Series, holding six 30.5 mm pushbuttons in a lid on the 1554VB body. At 4.72 in (120 mm) deep with the lid, it offers more room for stacked contact blocks, terminals or DIN rail components than the 3.54 in deep six-hole models, making it a good fit for busier operator stations.

The enclosure is UL94 5VA polycarbonate (at 3 mm) suitable for outdoor use, in light gray RAL 7035. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws hold the lid in integral stainless steel bushings against a replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket. The recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m), and lid screws and mounting holes are outside the gasket seal.

Overall dimensions are 9.45 in (240 mm) high by 6.30 in (160 mm) wide by 4.72 in (120 mm) deep with the lid; shipping weight is 1.3 lbs (0.59 kg). The base includes DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. It mounts through Ø4.00 mm holes and accepts the optional 1554VAPL galvanized steel inner panel (8.93 x 5.73 in) and 1554FT feet.

The 1554PB6B is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 12 and 13; six-pushbutton enclosures in this series do not meet Type 6/6P. It is cULus listed under File E65324, UL 508A approved in polycarbonate, and RoHS and REACH compliant. For 22 mm devices order 1554MPB6B.
