Hammond 1554PB8A Deep 8-Hole 30.5mm Polycarbonate Pushbutton Box

The 1554PB8A is the deep eight-hole model of the 1554 PB Series, carrying eight 30.5 mm pushbutton positions in a lid mounted on the 1554XA body. With 4.72 in (120 mm) of depth including the lid, it leaves extra space behind a large operator lid for contact blocks, wiring and DIN rail components, compared with the 3.54 in deep 1554PB8.

Construction is UL94 5VA polycarbonate (at 3 mm), suitable for outdoor use and finished in light gray RAL 7035. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into integral stainless steel bushings to close the lid on a replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket, with a recommended cover screw torque of 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). The lid screws and mounting holes are located outside the gasket seal.

Per the series ordering table the enclosure is 11.81 in (300 mm) high, 7.87 in (200 mm) wide and 4.72 in (120 mm) deep with the lid; the part page lists a size of 9.5 x 6.3 x 4.72 in and a shipping weight of 1.43 lbs (0.65 kg). Inside are DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. The optional 1554XPL galvanized steel inner panel (11.22 x 7.28 in) and 1554FT mounting feet are available.

The 1554PB8A is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, cULus listed under File E65324, UL 508A approved in polycarbonate, and RoHS and REACH compliant.
