Hammond 1554PB12A Deep 12-Hole 30.5mm Polycarbonate Pushbutton Box

The 1554PB12A combines the highest 30.5 mm hole count in the 1554 PB Series, twelve 30.5 mm pushbutton positions, with the deeper 1554YA body. Its 4.72 in (120 mm) depth including the lid gives more wiring and component space than the 3.74 in deep 1554PB12, useful when a large operator lid carries stacked contact blocks or when DIN rail devices share the enclosure.

The enclosure is UL94 5VA polycarbonate (at 3 mm), suitable for outdoor use and colored light gray RAL 7035. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws, threaded into integral stainless steel bushings, close the lid against a replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket. The part drawing recommends 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m) of cover screw torque, and lid screws and mounting holes sit outside the gasket seal.

It measures 11.81 in (300 mm) high by 9.45 in (240 mm) wide by 4.72 in (120 mm) deep with the lid and ships at 3.25 lbs (1.47 kg). The base has DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. The optional 1554YPL galvanized steel inner panel (11.22 x 8.86 in) and 1554FT mounting feet are available.

The 1554PB12A is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, cULus listed under File E65324, UL 508A approved in polycarbonate, and RoHS and REACH compliant.
