The 1554PB1 is a compact, single-hole pushbutton enclosure built for one 30.5 mm operator. It suits panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a sealed station for a single start, stop or emergency control mounted away from the main panel. It is part of the Type 4, 4X polycarbonate 1554 PB Series and is based on the 1554E enclosure.
The body and lid are molded polycarbonate carrying a UL94 5VA flammability rating (at 3 mm) and suitable for outdoor use, finished in light gray RAL 7035. A preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket seals the lid and can be replaced. The lid is held by four self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws threaded into integral stainless steel bushings, and both the lid screws and the mounting holes sit outside the gasket seal.
The enclosure measures 3.54 in (90 mm) high by 3.54 in (90 mm) wide with a depth of 2.36 in (60 mm) including the lid, and ships at 0.35 lbs (0.16 kg). Four Ø4.00 mm mounting holes are provided in the box, and the base includes internal DIN rail mounting tabs. An optional 1554EPL steel inner panel (3.10 x 3.10 in) and 1554FT mounting feet are available.
Protection is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The assembly is cULus listed under File E65324, the polycarbonate version is UL 508A approved, and 1554PB1 is RoHS and REACH compliant. A 22 mm hole version is offered as 1554MPB1.
