The 1490MD4 is a four-hole, 22.5 mm sloped consolet in the 3.50 in high D body of the 1490 Series Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures. It lines up four 22.5 mm pushbuttons, switches or pilot lights on an angled face and is ideal for wall or surface mounting.
Overall size is 3.50 in H x 10.00 in W x 4.88 in D (89 x 254 x 124 mm). The drawing specifies a 10.37 x 3.87 in door, four 0.89 in holes on 2.25 in spacing, and 0.25 in mounting holes in the welded brackets. The front cover gives a 30° or 60° slope depending on mounting position.
The enclosure is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive, protecting devices from dirt, dust, oil and water. The cover is not hinged; captive screws thread into sealed wells to secure it. It is phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, with a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud on the enclosure.
The 1490MD4 is rated UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 with appropriate components. Listed shipping weight is 2 lbs (0.91 kg). The 30.5 mm version is 1490D4; a taller four-hole 22.5 mm option is 1490MG4.
