The 1490MG12 is a wide, low sloped consolet with twelve holes for 22.5 mm pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. It measures 7.25 in H x 15.25 in W x 6.75 in D (184 x 387 x 171 mm) and, like the rest of the 1490 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures, is ideal for wall or surface mounting to provide the necessary control slope.
The drawing shows a 15.62 x 7.62 in door, 0.89 in holes on 2.25 in centres and 0.25 in holes in the welded mounting brackets. Depending on mounting position the front cover sits at 30° or 60°. The series also lists a taller twelve-hole 22.5 mm size, the 1490MJ12.
Construction is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive to protect against dirt, dust, oil and water. An internally hinged removable cover is designed to hold open during wiring and closes with captive screws into sealed wells. The enclosure is phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.
The 1490MG12 is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 rated and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 with appropriate components. Shipping weight is 11 lbs (4.99 kg). For 30.5 mm devices choose the 1490G12.
