The 1490MD1 is a compact one-hole sloped consolet for a 22.5 mm pushbutton, switch or pilot light. It belongs to the 1490 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures and is ideal for wall or surface mounting where a single control needs to face the operator at an angle.
It measures 3.50 in H x 3.25 in W x 4.88 in D (89 x 83 x 124 mm). According to the drawing, the door is 3.62 x 3.87 in with one 0.89 in hole, and the welded mounting brackets have 0.25 in holes. Depending on mounting position, the front cover slopes at 30° or 60°.
Construction is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. The D sizes are not hinged; the cover is fastened with captive screws that thread into sealed wells. The finish is phosphatized steel with ANSI 61 gray powder coating, and a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud on the enclosure are included.
The 1490MD1 is rated UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP54 when appropriate components are used. Shipping weight is 2 lbs (0.91 kg). The 30.5 mm version is 1490D1.
