The 1490J20 offers twenty 30.5 mm holes, the largest hole count among the J sizes of the 1490 Series Type 12 mild steel pushbutton consolets. It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and is ideal for wall or surface mounting to present a larger control layout at the right angle.
Enclosure size is 11.75 in H x 13.00 in W x 9.00 in D (298 x 330 x 229 mm). The drawing shows a 13.37 x 12.12 in door, 1.21 in holes on 2.25 in centres, and 0.25 in mounting holes. Mounting position gives the front cover either a 30° or 60° slope.
The 1490J20 is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. Its internally hinged removable cover is designed to hold open during wiring; captive cover screws thread into sealed wells and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive help protect contents from dirt, dust, oil and water. It is phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.
Ratings are UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, with compliance to NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 using appropriate components. Shipping weight is 16 lbs (7.26 kg). Use 1490MJ20 for 22.5 mm devices.
