Hammond 1490K25 25-Hole Large Sloped Pushbutton Consolet, 30.5mm

The 1490K25 is a large sloped consolet with twenty-five 30.5 mm holes, sized 14.00 in H x 13.00 in W x 10.13 in D (356 x 330 x 257 mm). Part of the 1490 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures, it is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and suits panel builders creating a full operator station on a wall or other surface.

Depending on mounting position, the front cover provides a 30° or 60° control slope. The drawing lists a 13.37 x 14.37 in door, 1.21 in holes on 2.25 in centres, and 0.25 in holes in the welded mounting brackets.

The body is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. As one of the larger sizes, it has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold open during wiring, fastened by captive screws that thread into sealed wells. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating; a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.

The 1490K25 is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 rated, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 with appropriate components, for protection from dirt, dust, oil and water. Shipping weight is 17 lbs (7.71 kg). The 22.5 mm version is 1490MK25.
