Hammond 1418N4SSW18 72x25x18 in 304 SS Clamped Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418N4SSW18 is a 72.06 x 25.06 x 18.06 in (1,830 x 637 x 459 mm) Type 4X freestanding enclosure in 12 gauge 304 stainless steel, the narrowest and shallowest 304 size in the 1418 N4 FS SS Series table. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment in areas that are hosed down, very wet or subject to serious corrosion.

The enclosure is continuously welded with smooth seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Its door hangs on a heavy gauge continuous hinge and is secured with heavy duty stainless steel clamps over a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles are provided, and the finish is natural brushed stainless.

The drawing lists a 61.31 x 21.31 in door opening, a 19.09 in inside depth dimension and 60.91 x 20.91 in of clear space available on the door. Mounting channels welded inside accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails. The optional full size inner panel is 72WFW in white powder paint; alternative panel options are also available. A grounding stud in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door are provided.

The 1418N4SSW18 is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and falls under an EU Declaration of Conformity to the Low Voltage Directive. REACH and RoHS compliant. It ships on a skid at 290 lbs (131.54 kg). The 316 version is 1418N4S16W18.
