Hammond 1418N4S16W18 72x25x18 in 316 SS Clamped Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418N4S16W18 is a 72.06 x 25.06 x 18.06 in (1,830 x 637 x 459 mm) Type 4X freestanding enclosure from the 1418 N4 FS SS Series, formed from 12 gauge 316 stainless steel. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, or where corrosion is a serious problem.

Its door is supported by a heavy gauge continuous hinge and secured with heavy duty stainless steel clamps, closing on a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Seams are smooth and continuously welded, without knockouts, cutouts or holes, and the finish is natural brushed stainless. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles are provided.

The drawing shows a 61.31 x 21.31 in door opening, 19.12 in usable depth and 60.53 x 20.38 in of clear space available on the door. Mounting channels welded inside the enclosure accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails; the optional full size inner panel is 72WFW (white powder paint), and alternative inner panel options are also available. A grounding stud is in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door.

The 1418N4S16W18 is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is covered by an EU Declaration of Conformity to the Low Voltage Directive. REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 300 lbs (136.08 kg) on a skid; the 304 version is 1418N4SSW18.
