The 1418N4S16X24 is a 316 stainless Type 4X freestanding enclosure measuring 72.06 x 31.06 x 24.06 in (1,830 x 789 x 611 mm). Part of the 1418 N4 FS SS Series, it is intended to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment in hose-down, very wet or seriously corrosive environments.
The body is formed from 12 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A heavy gauge continuous hinge supports the door, which is secured with heavy duty stainless steel clamps against a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles are supplied, and the finish is natural brushed stainless.

Welded internal mounting channels accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails, and a grounding stud in the enclosure and bonding stud on the door are provided. Ratings: UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001); complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66; EU Low Voltage Directive declaration; REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 380 lbs (172.36 kg) on a skid. The 304 version is 1418N4SSX24.
