Hammond 1418N4S16Y24 72x37x24 in 316 SS Clamped Freestanding Enclosure

At 72.06 x 37.06 x 24.06 in (1,830 x 941 x 611 mm), the 1418N4S16Y24 is the widest enclosure in the 1418 N4 FS SS Series table, built in 12 gauge 316 stainless steel. This Type 4X freestanding enclosure is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls with provision for panel or rack mounting of equipment where it may be hosed down, very wet or exposed to serious corrosion.

Seams are smooth and continuously welded, with no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door is carried on a heavy gauge continuous hinge and secured with heavy duty stainless steel clamps, sealing on a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles are provided, and cover and enclosure have a natural brushed finish.

Per the drawing, the door opening is 61.31 x 33.31 in, usable depth is 25.15 in and 60.53 x 32.38 in of clear space is available on the door. Mounting channels welded inside accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails. The optional full size inner panel is 72YFW (white powder paint), with alternative inner panel options also available. There is a grounding stud in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door.

Ratings: UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001); complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66; EU Low Voltage Directive declaration; REACH and RoHS compliant. It ships on a skid at 415 lbs (188.24 kg). The 304 stainless version is 1418N4SSY24.
