Hammond XF4115 4 in Filtered Fan Box, 105 CFM, 115V

The XF4115 is the 4 in, 115 V filtered fan package in the XF Series and the smallest fan box in the range. It gives electricians, integrators and OEM builders a complete forced-air cooling kit for electrical enclosures: in a typical arrangement, the fan box pulls air into the enclosure and a filter grill serves as the air outlet. It ships set up to pressurize the enclosure and can be user modified to exhaust.

Performance per the ordering table is 105 CFM free-flow air delivery at a nominal 3000 RPM, with a running current of 0.18 A and 15 W on 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz; the drawing's rating for the 115 VAC version is 0.24 A. The fan comes with 12 in lead wires, and the series is noted for exceptionally quiet operation. Fan motors are UR/CUR/CE approved, and the unit is CSA listed on fan only.

Construction is heavy-gauge steel with a painted grey steel case and a polished stainless steel front screen. The washable aluminum filter is coated with adhesive baffle surfaces to collect dust and dirt, can be recoated after cleaning, and is held by a knurled thumb nut for easy removal. Replacement filters are XFF4, sold in packages of 3.

The fan housing measures 5.63 x 5.63 x 2.38 in (143 x 143 x 60 mm); the drawing shows an overall assembly of 187.00 mm [7.362 in] by 155.50 mm [6.122 in] and a 146.05 mm [5.750 in] square fan box cutout, with 4 x Ø0.190 in mounting holes. Secure the sheet metal with #10 hardware; a drilling template is included. One grill and filter come with the package, and an additional exhaust grill and filter (XFG4, 6.13 x 7.38 in) is normally required and ordered separately.
