Hammond XF6230 6 in Filtered Fan Box, 220 CFM, 230V

The XF6230 is the 230 V edition of the XF Series 6 in filtered fan package. It brings 220 CFM of filtered cooling air to enclosures on 230 VAC, 50/60 Hz power, for integrators and OEM builders supplying equipment to 230 V sites. In a typical setup the fan box pulls air into the enclosure and a filter grill serves as the outlet; the unit is shipped with air flow to pressurize and can be user modified to exhaust.

The ordering table gives 220 CFM free-flow air delivery at a nominal 3300 RPM, with 0.15 A running current and 33 W; the drawing rates the 230 VAC version at 0.28 A. It uses 12 in lead wires, fan motors are UR/CUR/CE approved, and it is CSA listed on fan only. The series is noted for exceptionally quiet operation.

The heavy-gauge steel case is painted grey, with a polished stainless steel front screen. The washable aluminum filter, coated with adhesive baffle surfaces for dust and dirt collection, is easily removed for cleaning via a knurled thumb nut and can be recoated afterward. Replacement filters are XFF6 (package of 3).

The fan housing measures 7.13 x 7.13 x 3.00 in (181 x 181 x 76 mm), and the part page lists 7.6 x 8.9 x 2.5 in (193 x 226 x 64 mm). The drawing shows a 224.90 mm [8.854 in] by 193.60 mm [7.622 in] assembly with a 184.15 mm [7.250 in] square cutout and 4 x Ø0.190 in holes; secure with #10 hardware and the included drilling template. One grill and filter are included; the XFG6 exhaust grill and filter (7.63 x 8.88 in) is normally also required and ordered separately. RoHS and REACH compliant; shipping weight 6 lb (2.72 kg).
