Hammond ST603616SS 60x36x16 in Deep Sloped Top Stainless Enclosure

The ST603616SS is the largest enclosure in the Eclipse ST sloped top ordering table: 60 in high, 36 in wide and 16 in deep. It is intended for OEM engineers and panel builders who must house large, deep electrical or electronic control assemblies on a wall in harsh, industrial environments, with a sloped top that prevents water from resting on top and offers potential for controls mounting.

It is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural stainless smooth brushed finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Being 36 in wide, it has the door alignment guide provided on 36 in wide enclosures. Quarter turn latches requiring a tool secure the door on 304 stainless hinges with stainless steel hinge pins; the door is removable and interchangeable.

The ordering table gives H1 60.00 in, H2 65.80 in (1671 mm), W 36.00 in and D 16.00 in (406 mm). The drawing shows a 34.31 in wide by 58.32 in high door opening, a 35.97 in wide door and a 70° slope. Sizes over 24 in (600 mm) wide require an inner panel to maintain UL/CSA; the EP6036 panel is 58.20 x 34.20 in and mounts on the collar studs provided.

Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 x 58.50 in centres, and the hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. A bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the body are provided.

The ST603616SS is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and has a shipping weight of 220 lbs (99.79 kg).
