Hammond ST483616SS 48x36x16 in Deep Sloped Top Stainless Enclosure

The ST483616SS is the 16 in deep 48 x 36 in size in the Eclipse ST sloped top series. The extra depth makes room for larger components in wall-mounted control systems, giving integrators and OEM engineers a Type 4X stainless steel enclosure for electrical or electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments, with a sloped top that prevents water from resting on top.

It is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural stainless smooth brushed finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. The 36 in width brings the door alignment guide provided on 36 in wide enclosures. Quarter turn latches requiring a tool secure the door on 304 stainless hinges with stainless steel hinge pins.

H1 is 48.00 in, H2 is 53.80 in (1367 mm), W is 36.00 in and D is 16.00 in (406 mm). The drawing shows a 34.31 in wide by 46.32 in high door opening, a 35.97 in wide door and a 70° slope. An inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA on sizes over 24 in (600 mm) wide; the EP4836 panel is 46.20 x 34.20 in and mounts on collar studs.

Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 x 46.50 in centres, with a hardware kit of panel mounting nuts and sealing washers included. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. A bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure are provided.

The ST483616SS is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 rated, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66, and ships boxed at 148 lbs (67.13 kg).
