The ST201612SS pairs a 20 x 16 in face with a full 12 in of depth, making it the deeper counterpart to the 8 in deep 20 x 16 sloped top size. It is intended for panel builders and integrators who need extra room for deeper components inside a Type 4X stainless steel wallmount enclosure in harsh, industrial environments, with a sloped top that stops water resting on the enclosure.
Construction is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a smooth brushed natural stainless finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. Quarter turn latches need a tool to open; hinges are 304 stainless with stainless steel hinge pins, and the door is removable and interchangeable.
The ordering table gives H1 20.00 in and H2 24.35 in (618 mm). On the drawing, the door opening is 14.49 in wide by 18.47 in high, the door is 15.97 in wide, and the slope is 70°. The optional EP2016 inner panel is 18.20 x 14.20 in and mounts on collar studs.
Mount it to the wall through 0.50 in holes on 14.50 x 18.50 in centres, using the included hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. A bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the body are provided.
The ST201612SS is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 rated and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66. It ships boxed at 39 lbs (17.69 kg).
