The ST202008SS is a square 20 x 20 in Eclipse ST sloped top enclosure with 8 in of depth. Electricians, panel shops and OEM engineers use it to enclose electrical or electronic equipment on a wall in harsh, industrial environments; the sloped top prevents water from resting on the enclosure and gives potential space for mounting controls.
The body and door are formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, left in a natural stainless smooth brushed finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door closes against a seamless poured-in place gasket. The quarter turn latches have a slot that requires a tool for opening, and the door hangs on 304 stainless hinges with stainless steel hinge pins.
H1 is 20.00 in and H2 is 22.89 in (581 mm). The drawing shows an 18.48 in wide by 18.47 in high door opening, a 19.97 in wide door and a 70° slope. For component mounting, the optional EP2020 inner panel measures 18.20 x 18.20 in and fits on the collar studs provided.
The rear has 0.50 in wall mounting holes on 18.50 x 18.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. Grounding is covered by a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure.
Ratings for the ST202008SS are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, with compliance to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It ships boxed at 38 lbs (17.24 kg).
