The ST201608SS is a 20 in high, 16 in wide, 8 in deep member of the Eclipse ST sloped top series. It is aimed at electricians, control panel shops and OEM engineers who need a shallow Type 4X stainless steel enclosure on a wall, protecting electrical or electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments while its sloped top keeps water from resting on it.
The enclosure is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a smooth brushed natural finish on cover and body. A formed lip keeps out flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Latching is by quarter turns with a slot that needs a tool to open, on 304 stainless hinges with stainless hinge pins.
Front height H1 is 20.00 in, and H2 is 22.89 in (581 mm). The drawing gives a door opening of 14.49 x 18.47 in (W x H), a 15.97 in wide door and a 70° slope angle. Use the optional EP2016 inner panel (18.20 x 14.20 in) on the collar studs provided.
Wall mounting uses 0.50 in holes on 14.50 x 18.50 in centres; the hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. A mounting foot kit is required to keep UL/CSA external mounting requirements. Bonding and grounding studs are fitted.
The ST201608SS holds UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 ratings, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66, and ships boxed at 32 lbs (14.51 kg).
